Deskpad Policy
Deskpad Policy works to keep students at the center of how AI enters education. We work at three levels, with students, with their schools, and with the people writing the laws, toward one outcome: AI that strengthens how students think instead of replacing it.

Students
Building real agency directly, so students stay in charge of their own thinking.
Schools
Helping schools bring AI in student-centered, not banned and not unleashed.
Government
Pushing for AI-in-education law that centers the students it affects most.
Our why
A student keeping their own thinking as AI spreads isn't something they can pull off alone. It depends on the school they're in and the people writing the rules above it, every bit as much as on the student. So we build for all three at once, and the student stays at the center of the whole thing.
Dream Big
A national goal-setting competition for students across the country. In March, we challenged students to set one real goal and follow through on it with structure and support from us. Their goals were anything but small: raising SAT scores, starting robotics communities, writing entire novels.

A goal challenge belongs inside a policy initiative for a simple reason: building real follow-through is the most durable defense against offloading your life to AI.

The student work is where we are deepest. The other two levels are newer, and we are honest about that.
Schools
Helping schools bring AI in a way that is student-centered, structured and transparent, instead of banning it or letting it run loose. Guidance that serves the school and the student first, even when that points away from our own product.

AI policy for education is being written right now, almost always without the people it affects most. We do not just want to raise the alarm. We want to bring real, student-centered solutions to the table.
Where we standGet involved
If you are a student, a school, or someone shaping how AI enters education, we want to hear from you. The work is early on two of the three levels, which is exactly why your voice counts now.
